heart: fall - hate: lack of time to play music

I heart fall. Leaves changing color are awesome. Breezes are awesome. Football is back. Holidays are approaching..its friggin great!

I hate the minimal time i have to play music. I'm not blaming my family, its just how life is. Can't really play at night cuz the kids are asleep, and then on the weekend i want to play with them. So its hard to find time. I guess its like anything, you just have to make time.

I know its been awhile since blogging, so i probably could just generally hate on not having enough time to do stuff.

Is anyone still around>?

heart: $1 Sausage Egg McMuffins - hate: liking farmville

i heart Sausage Egg McMuffins. They're just so darn tasty. You got the meat, you got the cheese, you got the egg, and of course, the english muffin. the ones with ham are okay too, but the Sausage really gets you going. and right now, they're just $1!! what could be better than a nice hot breakfast sandwich for $1?! Well, okay, lots of things, but still. Simple pleasures right?

i hate liking farmville! What is up with that silly 'game' ?!? you essentially have a plot of graph paper, and you fill up the little squares with various plants. Its like the Seinfeld "weve got a show about nothing". Its so dumb it actually works! I made fun of Angelle for 2 weeks over it, and now i'm hooked! as are everyone else who plays it! Its ridiculous! why is it so fun? why is it so addictive? are they subliminally mindwashing us? Are the local farmers of america behind this? will everyone go out and start real farms now? I would if eggplants would really grow in a day, and pumpkins in 8 hours.

heart: welches dried fruit pouches - hate: not wakeboarding

i heart Welch's dried fruit pouches. They are like 90 calories per pack, and SO delicious. Mixing fruits together was a good idea. You should try them. I did, and I heart them.

I hate not wakeboarding. The first couple years here i went almost every wednesday. I've only been once this year. Well once behind a boat, and once at the cable park in SoFla, but I sucked it up on the cable. My friends with boats are busy with their kids now, and looking for jobs...I just need to move close to a lake, and get my own darn boat. Or get a few acres and a winch. Or move in with the Donalds and put a permanent winch by their firepit. :)

heart: working from home (occasionally) - hate: how fast grass grows in the summer

i heart occasionally working from home. Its SO nice not to have to leave the house at quarter to 7, drive to the bus, sit on the bus, get to work, not be able to work out (unless i plan ahead), spend money on lunch (unless i pack lunch), take the bus home again, and not get home till 6:15ish. I love being at work, cuz I much prefer face time with my colleagues, and I think collaborating in person is much easier, but occasionally, home is good. It lets you stay heads down on something if you need to plow through it, and you can run quick errands at lunch if needed, or workout at lunch, or just walk to the fridge if you're hungry. AND i actually get to see the kids in the morning and throughout the day.

i hate how fast grass grows in the summer! You have to cut it every week! I mean come on really? we've already gotten like 3 letters from HOA 'politely' telling us our grass is too tall. apparently theres a 4 inch rule, and they actually measure EVERY blade with one of those plastic clear rulers. (i wonder how much they get paid to do that). Don't get me wrong, i love green grass. and its awesome having a yard. @lawn: can you maybe grow a tad slower?

heart: free comics - hate: shoe shopping

i heart free comics. a friend of mine lives next door to a comic book artist and he gets some free DC comics, and passes them on to me when hes done. Its great! Lots of stuff I wouldnt pay for, but enjoy reading. mostly the classics (batman, superman, justice league). I havent really read comics in long time cuz they're just too darn expensive. thanks ML!

i hate shoe shopping!! i did it today, cuz i needed new running/tennis shoes (sneakers? i dont know what the kids call them these days. do they still say kicks?) and i needed new black work shoes. dress shoes. whatever! i think i tried on EVERY pair of sneakers and black shoes in the store. finally found some that were comfy enough and stylish enough. Of course i'll probably go to wear them tomorrow and they will be horribly uncomfortable and crazy ugly. oh well. 30 day return policy. I hope i dont need new shoes for a LONG time.

heart: building legos with Leah - hate: erin not listening

its SO awesome that I can now build legos with Leah! she got me a little set for my birthday (happy birthday to me) that you can build a helicopter or 2 types of airplanes. So far we have built the helicopter and the harrier jet. shes really good at finding the pieces and figuring out where they need to go.

i hate erin not listening! the past few months shes just intentionally devious! I know all you parents of "spirited" first kids are laughing and rolling your eyes, but Leah was just so darn good that so unnerving for Erin to say "no" and run away smiling even while you're yelling at her for the millionth to "stop hitting the cat". the little pill!! shes lucky shes cute or I would have gifted her to Jeri (my cousin) on Farmville by now. Even with the cuteness I'm considering it..

heart: bike riding - hate: jaw pain

i heart bike riding. i brought my bike to work today and rode from my car (parked like 3 miles away) to my office. its so nice in Charlotte.

i hate jaw pain. not sure why I have it. dentist said maybe stress and i should get one of those mouth guards to sleep with in case i'm grinding my teeth. YAY! maybe i can just borrow one of Erin's old pacifers. ow.

heart: sleep - hate: not kissing my girls goodnight

i heart sleep. its so wonderful. its onen of those things you dont really enjoy while you're doing it, but afterwards, you sure are glad you did it. And you definitely miss it when you didnt do it. ahhhh, glorious sleep. its so nice and quiet here at Britt's house in Louisiana without kids running around and cats scratching at the door and alarms beeping and smoke detectors beeping.....

i hate not kissing my girls goodnight. the one downside to going on vacation without them. they are just so darn cute. but sleep is good, so.....

heart: payday - hate: Ally/GMAC

I heart payday. Who doesn't? You check your bank accounts, the numbers are higher..you earn more interest, the money grows, you can retire to Colorado or Florida or California and have webchats with your kids/grandkids, while polishing your yacht for the next voyage...payday is great.

I hate Ally Bank/GMAC. First, they rebrand and change their website without telling the customers, and on day 1, the redirect fails, so i have no idea how to get to my money. Nice tech job. NOT. Finally after calling i get "oh yeah, we have a new site now: ally.com". YAY!! I had to call to find this out??? Then today (payday - see heart above) i am supposed to see a deposit to my Ally savings account. Do i? NO!!! They apparently changed their routing numbers this month, and again, DID NOT tell any of their customers!! WTF Ally?!?! So now, i'm missing a fairly large chunk of money. Wachovia says they disbursed the funds, Ally says they didnt get it. They said the old routing number "SHOULD" be working. Well, its not. I have lost trust in Ally as a company, and especially as a financial institution. I hope i can find another online savings account with rates as high. Or maybe even not as high, but trustworthy systems.

hate: dvd rentals - heart: your mom

i HATE dvd rentals. I'm not sure what the morons in Monroe do to these dvds, but i dont think i've gotten a dvd from family video up the street in the past year that has worked. They all skip, and at some point freeze, and i'm left pissed off cuz A.) i wasted time watching part of a movie and B.) i'm so pissed off i have to go back out at 10pm to yell at the clerk and get my money back. !@#$%^&*

i heart your mom. cuz she made you. and you are awesome. you probably do not take sandpaper and rub it on the back of dvds you rent.

i know i normally heart stuff beforing hating, but this time, i'm ROYALLY pissed off.

heart: sudafed - hate: summer repeats

I heart sudafed. A coworker recommended the 12 or 24 hr kind that you have to get from behind the counter, show your id, sign a waiver, give them some blood, take a temp job, promise your 4th kid (should you have one), and promise not to drive yourself home for at least 72 hours, for. But its well worth it. I don't feel awesome, but i feel MUCH better than before I took it.

I hate summer repeats. Normally I can watch Office repeats, but eh...Thursdays used to be good with Office, 30 Rock, and Smallville (yeah, I know its Dawson's Creek with a splash of super heroes, but at least there arent any vampires or werewolves in it).

heat: bagels with muenster cheese - hate: getting crappy sleep

Starting with hate today, cuz i feel strong hate about it. i HATE getting crappy sleep. you just need good sleep or else the day sucks. I woke up like 3 times last night to either pee, cough, or blow my nose. (see previous post about hating colds) SO yeah, the drive today is going to be WAY fun.

I heart bagels with muenster cheese. and a little butter between. Its just like the perfect easy breakfast. Its delicious. And its always there for you. After a night of studying, there for you. After a crappy night of sleep, there for you. THe morning of a big interview, there for you. Except when its not there for you (either cuz your wife didnt go to the store, or you have no wife). When its not there for you, it really sucks. I hate when its not there for you. But mostly it is. so I heart it.

heart: Bash - hate: living so far from family

I heart Bash. Its Nikki Pettineo's restaurant in Sunrise, FL. it's SOOOO friggin good. If you havent been, you must go there. I had parmesan crusted snapper, and it was out of this world. Also had the best homemade potato chips EVER. yes EVER. If you are ever in SoFla, go to Bash. you will not regret it. and you will enjoy it. Unless you're a jerk.

I hate living so far from family. It wasn't as big a deal when we just had Leah, but now with Erin and *boy on the way, and after having Cathy, Gee & Myrn visit, and now visiting my parents, its SOOO nice to have parents around to help out, cook, play with the kids, give us a break!! I guess this could also be I heart family, but I need to hate on something. See how i flip turn reversed it into a hate? I guess most things can be a hate or a heart. Just depends on if your glass is half full, or if your little sister stole your glass, drank it all, and its now totally empty.

heart: bacon - hate: colds

Wow. its really hard to post every day. Especially when you're away from home. I've disappointed my fans, let down my minions, and just generally saddened everyone who reads this. Good thing its only like 2 people.

I heart bacon. Its just so darn good! You can eat it plain, for breakfast, on egg sandwiches, turkey club sandwiches, crumbled on salads, on pizza...I'm sure there are many other uses, but i'm too full from the bacon I just ate to think of them. And yeah, bacon is usually not a favorite for Jews, but since I'm mostly just Jewish for the jokes now (not really practicing), there you have it.

I hate colds. Seriously?! Headache, stuffy nose, cough, tissues, achy, tired (insert all the other symptoms from the nyquil bottle). They ruin your life for like a week. Then they rear their ugly head again in a few months.

heart: Amy Poehler - hate: twisty ties on kids toys

Since I was driving yesterday, and didn't have time to post, and cupcakes/drivers was intended for yesterday, today there is a double-shot.

I heart Amy Poehler. Shes hilarious, ridiculous, and hot. What's not to like? If you live in a cave (and if so, i'm impressed by your internet access in your cave), she is/was a cast member on SNL (Saturday Night Live for you, cave dweller).

I hate twisty ties on kids toys. Why are there a million of them? 1 won't do?!? come on. it takes so long to get all the twisty ties off the toy, that by the time the toy is fully out of the package and de-twistyfied that your kid is a year older and you're at the next birthday party staring at them holding out another toy for you, of course complete with 100 twisty ties. Its a never ending battle. I'm sort of surprised that they don't super glue the toy to the package, pour in some concrete, deep fry the whole thing, and wrap it in a blueberry crepe.

heart: cupcakes - hate: other drivers

I missed yesterday. we were driving. from Charlotte NC to Melbourne FL.

I heart cupcakes from Vanilla's Cupcakery. Its in Jacksonville, FL. Mandi introduced us. they're GOOD. I highly recommend you try every flavor. Yesterday's favorite was peanut butter cup. They have other awesome flavors like Creme Brulee and Tiramasu.

I hate other drivers. All of them. After driving for about 9 hours yesterday, and the past 14 years, i've realized I only like driving when no one else is driving. I'm okay with a few people out, but for the most part, i'd rather ride a bike, or use my laser cats to blast them all off the road. I used to think Florida drivers were bad, but they're awesome compared to Charlotte drivers. They mosey like they are just out for joyrides and not going anywhere!!

heart: libraries - hate: bees

first, I heart libraries. Seriously, you can go check out books, comics, movies, cds....all for free!!! its like jewish paradise! well, there's no matzah or gefilte fish or mothers giving you guilt, but still! Visit your local library today.

second, i hate bees. well not really Hate, cuz honey is okay (although i'm not as huge a fan as everyone else seems to be), but really, bees? sorry Bryan, but A.) they can sting you and B.) they are not pets.

The only thing bees have going for them is that they are not wasps. I'm glad bears and crocodiles don't make honey, otherwise your pets might be larger and more vicious.

I dont hate you, i just dont like your bees. :)

Here i am

I want to blog about things I love and things I hate. Well, hate is a strong word, but things i dislike, a lot.

To start, I hate lolcats. lolcats are lame. people thinking they're funny are lame. if you like lolcats, i think you're lame. Of course, if you like lolcats, you probably dont care what I think, but you should, since i'm the most important person ever.

HA! Take that lolcats!

i DO like laser cats. As opposed to lame lolcats, laser cats actually serve a function: They are weapons. You can shoot people who like lolcats. then there will be less lolcat lovers breeding. Darwinism is a wonderful thing. Also Andy Samberg is just hilarious.
